My name is Nancy Boles. I've been a hairstylist forever! When the chemicals we use started being a real health problem for me, I decided it was time for a career change. But what else could I do? I've always been the one everybody counted on for help with their weddings, showers, graduations, parties and things. I love to plan. Decorations, linens, food everything that might be needed for whatever event it was. I truly enjoy every minute of it. So, I decided to become a wedding and event planner. The next question was how do I do that? I looked into courses in wedding and event planning, and decided on the one with Penn Foster. I thought I knew alot about planning, traditions, different faiths...but I learned so much more! With my enrollment came a membership to the Association of Bridal Consultants. ABC has been around for 50 some years. It's not just an organization that you pay your membership and then you're a member. They have a list of things you have to do, like train with another member, continuing education, a code of ethics. It's a wonderful organization, and I've learned so much!
My assistant is also my niece, Amanda Thiel. She amazed her friends when as bridesmaid she started making bows, organizing and decorating. When I told her I was going to school to become a wedding planner, she wanted to do it too.
Hiring a wedding planner is the best money you will spend when planning your wedding. We eliminate the stress, so that you and your family can enjoy your day. I watch "Bridezillas", I always think if they had a wedding planner, they wouldn't be like that!
At Last Events is also a Carlson Craft dealer. I have invitations, save the dates, menu cards, programs as well as other
wedding items.
We're also partners with Adorn Brides. If you've never heard of them, they are a company that rents high end jewelry for your wedding day. They are always adding to their collection, they have some gorgeous things! It's very easy to rent and return your jewelry. I think every bride should be able to wear real diamonds and pearls on her wedding day. Alot of brides can't afford to buy thousands of dollars of fine jewelry, but it's only a fraction of that to rent!
